Siphamandla Ex is a multi-talented South African artist based in Johannesburg, originally from Bilanyoni village in northern KwaZulu-Natal, where he was raised by his grandmother. Despite having no formal education in visual art, his passion for drawing from a young age led him to collaborate with various artists and host group exhibitions featuring well-established names. Beyond visual art, he is also a music producer, composer, and basketball player. His work explores the human condition in villages and townships, particularly focusing on themes of violence and abuse through portraiture. Ex aspires to establish a non-profit organization to support children by providing shelter, nutrition, and recreational programs, ensuring they have equal opportunities in life.
