Born in 1975 in Driefontein, Limpopo, Mmutla Mashishi is a self-taught artist whose passion for creativity began at a young age. After completing a certificate in Horticulture and Landscaping from INTEC College, he honed his skills through collaborations with renowned artists Anton Smit and Angus Taylor. From 2008 to 2012, he served as an art facilitator at Witbank and Sonder Water Correctional Services, later working with D`Nokasi Crafters until 2021. Now a fully independent artist, Mashishi continues to create thought-provoking work, drawing from his rich experiences and dedication to nurturing creativity.
